Our Work

‘The Golden Ridge’ project was more of a challenge for our team, yet none a challenge too hard for us. The challenge was the short time-frame we had for the pre-production stage, leaving us with a week to plan the entirety of the project. As the client required us to deliver a promotional video showcasing the facilities, the food and beverage, the hospitality and the scenic beauty of the property. Included in the shoot was a supplementary photoshoot of the property.
The Golden Ridge, owned by the Golden Hospitality Group of Companies located in the heart of Nuwara Eliya is a beautiful property that is surrounded by beautiful tea estates. This gave us a great range of conditions to work in and even put our sparkle of creativity working with experimental lighting conditions.

With a shorter planning phase, our biggest challenge was to come up with defining a concept for the rest of the production. A few nights and an endless supply of coffee, we managed to develop a concept that features the property, the surrounding and our client's individual requirements. By the end of the week, we were able to finalise our concept, build the storyboards, get approvals and plan for the production.
Over 2 days, our team managed to capture all the scenes we had planned in the storyboard. Everything fell into place including the weather, the models and the plan. On the first day, we managed to get the interior and exterior shots as planned to give us room to experiment a bit more on the location shots planned for day 2. Finally, back at base, our skillful editors managed a great final edit while adding a cinematic colour grading to the final video to add more essence to the final product.

The result was a film that exceeded our client's expectations. The film captured the essence of the Golden Ridge experience that the property owners wanted to express and in retrospect, it was a great experience for our team on working with tighter deadlines to prepare and execute, while retaining the quality of our work.
