Who We Are

Sense Imagery is run by a team of young creatives with industry experience and highest academic qualifications in the video production, animation and visual effects.

Chandula Kumarage

Co-Founder/ Chief Creative Officer

Chandula is a highly talented Editor, Compositor and Visual Effects artist with a Bachelors Degree in Digital Animation and Visual Effects, from the Edge Hill University (UK). He worked with an Oscar nominated animator, Barry Purves in England, making digital composites for his stage dramas. His expertise is in Digital Compositing and Motion Graphics. As a passionate ﬁlmmaker with a wealth of experience in all facets of video making, he’s sought after adding creative inputs to video productions.

Kavindu Abeysundera

CO-FOUNDER/EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

Kavindu holds an Advanced Diploma in Advertising & Multimedia from National Institute of Business Management and currently studying for his Degree in Advertising and Multimedia. Self-taught Videographer who worked as a freelance designer and co-founder of Sense Imagery. Kavindu leads the pre-production process of video concept & production, animation & motion graphics projects at Sense.

Thisara Madhuwantha

Cinematographer

A passionate Cameraman with more than 7 years of experience and 3 years of aerial imaging experience. Thisara is a self-taught Videographer, Photographer, Video Editor and a registered Drone Operator in civil aviation authority, Sri Lanka. He worked for TF1 France, during their ‘Visit Sri Lanka’ documentary as the Drone Operator.

Chandika Bandara

Senior 3D Generalist and VFX artist

Chandika is the most experienced in the team with 10 years of experience working as a 3D & VFX artist. And has extensive background in motion graphics, digital compositing, animation and visual effects. With the fusion of these elements, he provides our clients with a unique style of motion design that combines photographic elements with modern CGI animation.

Danu Senanayake

Creative Growth Strategist

Danu is responsible for business development at Sense. As a digital marketing specialist hailing from Edge Hill University, UK. Danu started his career as a creative designer, yet his tack for marketing allowed him to specialize business marketing as a profession. His outgoing personality and his creativity makes him an ideal addition to the Sense team in both creative marketing and brand exposure

Malki Opatha

Social Media Evangelist

Malki is an avid and passionate social media marketer who capture the journey of Sense Imagery and support the company grow its digital presence.

Danushka Wijesinghe

Photogragher

Passionate nature photographer turned corporate photographer. Also Danushka manages documentary shooting projects and action ﬁlming using GoPro Gear at Sense. He is also working on the 'Sense Collection' project which is a stock footage library from Sri Lanka.

Gihan Rathnayake

Production Assistant

As the Production Assistant at Sense, Gihan assist all areas in production including Camera, Audio and Lighting. In his spare time, Gihan works as a freelance videographer. He is very passionate about what he does and the youngest in the team.

Shamalee is a graduate of the University of Moratuwa and Academy of Design in Sri Lanka. Her formal education in design has influenced her career immensely, focusing much of her written work on people, events and businesses representing creative sectors like fashion, visual communication, entertainment and art, as well as those in innovation, and technology.

Zo Ousmand

Independent writer

Zo loves constructing sentences that portrays stories much like painting with words. She began writing English copy during her ﬁnal year at the Academy of Design, Colombo (AOD)\ whilst completing her degree in Graphic Design which gave her an insight into working with both imagery and text, enabling her to combine her graphic design interests with copy construction.
